1. The relationship
You are an independent contractor referring customers to Built&Written. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, joint-venture, or franchise relationship. You may not represent yourself as employed by Built&Written or its parent companies.
2. Commissions
You earn 30% commission (or your published tier rate) on every successful payment made by a customer first attributed to you, for a maximum of 12 payments per customer. Refunded payments, chargebacks, and trial-only periods do not generate commission. Commissions are paid out monthly when your balance reaches the published minimum ($50 USD by default), via your selected payout provider.
3. Attribution
Attribution is first-click for 30 days from the first tracked visit. We use cookie-based and (where applicable) coupon-based attribution. You may not generate clicks via paid traffic that bids on Built&Written trademarks or domain names without prior written consent. Self-referrals (attributing payments from your own accounts) are prohibited.
4. Acceptable promotion
You may not: (a) misrepresent the product or its pricing; (b) imply endorsement we have not given; (c) place referral links on sites promoting illegal content, hate, or fraud; (d) artificially inflate clicks through bots, click-farms, or incentivized traffic; (e) spam — defined as unsolicited email, forum posts, or comments not welcome by the audience receiving them. Built&Written reserves the right to invalidate commissions tied to any traffic source that violates these rules.
5. Taxes
You are responsible for your own income, sales, VAT, and other applicable taxes. Built&Written may require a W-9 (US persons) or W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E (non-US persons) before issuing payouts and may issue 1099-NEC forms as required by US law.
6. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Built&Written may suspend or terminate your participation immediately for breach of these terms or evidence of fraud. Earned but unpaid commissions are forfeited only in cases of fraud or material breach; otherwise, they will be paid out in the next normal payout cycle.
7. Limitation of liability
Built&Written's total liability under this agreement is limited to the sum of commissions paid or payable to you in the prior 12 months. We disclaim consequential, indirect, and special damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date. Material changes require re-acceptance to continue receiving payouts; non-material changes take effect on the date posted.
